Effective chip guarding means ANY method or equipment that will prevent chips or particles from flying back at the operator. The Guardair Air Shield air guns all have built- in patented protective air cones, which do protect the operator from general chip flyback.

The chart below specifies which Guardair air guns have the built in Chip Guarding feature. If using a gun without this feature, then appropriate means separate from the nozzle should be used, such as barriers, screens, or personal protective clothing.
